What’s your plan?

planning

What are your plans for this week? Personal?  Business?

I am NOT a good planner.  Things of often work out, but it’s chaotic and I end up stressed and crazy.  I’m working on it though.

We are not rushed with this move so I am taking the time here at the beginning to try and plan things out.  One of my goals is to color code all the moving boxes and even label what is in the box so we can locate things once we start unpacking.  Here’s hoping that it’s better than dumping everything into boxes and trying to remember what goes where.  If you have any moving tips, I’m all ears.

Until next time, stay inspired and be crafty!

It’s Monday

What kind of Monday are you having?

I’m struggling with mine.  More coffee.  And a kick in the hiney.

Monday Inspiration: Crochet Car

SONY DSC

Crochet art is always fascinating to me.  The time and creativity it takes to accomplish some of these pieces…impressive.  This one is found at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Prague.  The simplicity of the ecru color allows the detail of the work to stand out.

What has inspired your creativity lately?  I’d love to hear from you.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Until next time, stay inspired and be crafy!

Monday Inspiration: Fringe

crochetfringehaltertop
This halter is from http://www.2020ave.com/

Have you noticed that fringe is making a comeback?  They say everything old is new again and it is pretty much true.  I only wish that those low riding jeans would go away and never return.  But I digress…  Fringe is returning all sorts of things in the fashion world, and crochet and fringe go together so well!

I remember a poncho my mom crocheted for me when I was in elementary school.  I loved that poncho and my favorite part was the fringe.

It is still pretty trendy to have shawls, scarves, ponchos etc. without fringe, they may be pushed to the back of the closet soon as fringe comes front and center! What is your favorite fringed item in your wardrobe?

Monday Inspiration: Thread Crochet

christeninggownThere is some crochet that you look at and you just know that a lot of time and love went into it.  This is one of them.  This beautiful christening gown and bonnet is made by Carol Booth using #30 6-cord vintage Cartier-Bresson thread and a #10 steel hook…without a pattern!  It was posted on the Doris Chan Crochet blog.  The Swarvoski crystal beads just send it over the top.   If this won second place, I can just imagine that first place was incredible.

I really enjoy thread crochet even though it is tiny intricate work.  It is very rewarding when you finish!

Monday Inspiration: Granny Squares

grannytopHave you figured out yet that I love granny squares?  I do.  There is just something so crafty and vintage about granny squares.  This granny square sweater is vintage about 1960’s according to the Etsy seller 2TryHard.  The listing is long gone, but thankfully the picture is still around to inspire.  I personally love the colors and I would certainly wear this right now if I had it.  The yellow granny squares just pop!

Like many of the inspirations I show, they usually prompt some design ideas.  This one certainly did and you might just see something inspired by these colors this fall.
