There is some crochet that you look at and you just know that a lot of time and love went into it. This is one of them. This beautiful christening gown and bonnet is made by Carol Booth using #30 6-cord vintage Cartier-Bresson thread and a #10 steel hook…without a pattern! It was posted on the Doris Chan Crochet blog. The Swarvoski crystal beads just send it over the top. If this won second place, I can just imagine that first place was incredible.
I really enjoy thread crochet even though it is tiny intricate work. It is very rewarding when you finish!
